Hoy No Circula Restrictions for February 8, 2025

On February 8, 2025, 'Hoy No Circula' restrictions will be in effect in Mexico City and surrounding municipalities. Vehicles with license plate numbers ending in even digits and those with Hologram 1 are restricted from circulating from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM to improve air quality.

Hoy No Circula Restrictions for February 8, 2025

On the second Saturday of January in the Metropolitan Zone of the Valley of Mexico, the Hoy No Circula program is implemented for vehicles with hologram 1, hologram 2, and foreign vehicles, with exemptions for holograms 0 and 00. The circulation restriction applies from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM in Mexico City and the State of Mexico.

On the other hand, if there is an environmental contingency, the Hoy No Circula Sabatino is activated as a measure to reduce ozone particles. The Environmental Commission of the Megalopolis did not declare an environmental contingency for Saturday, February 8, due to acceptable air quality on Friday, February 7.

The cars that will be able to circulate on Saturday, February 8, are those electric, hybrid, with ecological plates or exempt hologram, as well as those carrying holograms "00" or "0". Vehicles from the health sector, school transport, persons with disabilities, among others, are also exempt. It is recommended to check if your car can circulate before leaving.

To avoid traffic fines, the Hoy No Circula program establishes rules for motorists to respect the restriction, contributing to reducing pollution in the capital. Vehicles with hologram "00" or "0" can circulate daily. The program applies to the 16 municipalities of Mexico City and 18 municipalities of the State of Mexico.

On Saturday, February 8, 2025, vehicles with license plates ending in even digits (0, 2, 4, 6, 8) and hologram 1 will not be able to circulate. Before leaving, it is advisable to check if your vehicle meets the specifications to circulate.
